Abstract

The challenges that the Education sector is facing nowadays with the new paradigm of Artificial Intelligence, whose influence will shape everyone’s future, is a call for action for the several stakeholders involved, starting at the political level, by governments and Education ministries, and ending at the learning level, not only in the classroom but extending to all areas of daily life, passing through school institutions and industry. This paper leverages the Portuguese use case, describing the lectures and discussions that took place at a conference in November 2024, where critical stakeholders gathered to address these issues. The paper presents key conclusions and recommendations for decision makers, educators, and learners. The Portuguese use case at this conference is used as an anchor for a broader global discussion.
