Nuno Monteiro is a researcher at the Institute of Systems and Robotics – Lisbon. He received his M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (2009). Currently, he is pursuing a PhD degree from Instituto Superior Técnico and University of Coimbra included in the program Robotics, Brain and Cognition. The PhD thesis is entitled Vision with Non-Conventional Omnidirectional Cameras and mainly focus on plenoptic cameras. The main research areas are computer vision and machine learning with a special emphasis on calibration and reconstruction.
