Carla Guerra received a M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from University of Coimbra in 2012. Currently she is a researcher in VisTeam and a final year PhD student at Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon.
Her PhD is in the area of Artificial Intelligence in EDucation (AIED), focusing on machine teaching systems that aim at reducing the teacher’s effort by making the teaching process more efficient and personalised.
At ISR, she is involved in the FACING-2 project, working on Face Image Quality Assessment (FIQA), more specifically in ICAO compliance.
