Researcher Role: Researcher

Biography:
Diogo Nunes received his Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Coimbra in 2015. Afterwards, he became a researcher at CISUC and eventually started his PhD in interpretable multiparametric models for the early detection of cardiovascular events. In 2022, with his PhD almost finished, he started to become interested in the area of computer vision and became a researcher at ISR-UC within the VIS-team. Diogo is currently involved in the FACING-2 project, where his main research focus is in the field of liveness detection, and has the role of developing machine learning models to detect presentation attacks in facial recognition systems.
