Guilherme is a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Systems and Robotics at the University of Coimbra. His research focus is mainly on machine learning applied to computer graphics and implicit representations. He is also interested in image processing, computer vision and optimization.
Guilherme obtained his Ph.D. in 2018 at PUC-Rio, Brazil advised by Prof. Hélio Lopes and Simone Barbosa. His master’s degree in informatics, and bachelor’s degree in computer science were obtained at UFSM, Brazil in 2014 and 2012, respectively. He worked at PUC-Rio from 2016 to 2022 as a part of the GALGOS laboratory, under prof Hélio Lopes. From 2020 onwards he also worked as colaborator at the Visgraf laboratory of the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA), supervised by professor Luiz Velho.
